Last week I was following a recipe in a cookbook just to see if "anyone" can cook. I followed every direction even though it was killing me. I have never been one to follow the rules. It was going to be a nice Shabbat (Sabbath, traditional Friday night) meal. I made a chicken Marsala with garlic mashed potatoes from the cookbook and I made my own green beans. Well, lets say the chicken was dry based on the books coking times and the mashed potatoes were not so garlic. After that meal I changed my mind on the point of what I wanted my blog to be. I love to cook great food and since I am good at it (yes I will toot my own horn here), I will just cook my own recipes and share them along the way. For those who know me well this is a big step, I don't normally share recipes. That being said, the only recipe I can not share is my family's secret Challah recipe, sorry Racheal.
